Seoul, February 24th, 2011 - Robert Walters PLC (LSE: RWA), the leading international recruitment consultancy, today published its inaugural Korea Salary Survey as part of its 12th annual Global Salary Survey. Compiled by Robert Walters' dedicated research division, the Global Salary Survey offers a comprehensive insight into the salaries presently commanded in Korea and the 20 other countries the Group currently operates in. The Survey found that Korean salaries improved 10-30% for professionals that changed companies in 2010. Increases, mainly within the industry & commerce companies, were primarily to compensate staff over pay cuts from 2009; however, financial services firms were unable to offer significant increases.

The Survey also offers insights into Korea’s main employment trends of last year, expected salary ranges for 2011 and accountancy & finance roles that are most in demand. Market risk managers are expected to be in demand with financial services firms and should command salaries between W60-80 million. Industrial companies are seeking internal audit managers, with typical salaries ranging from W50-70 million.

Additional key findings from the Korea Salary Survey indicate:
- Finance managers and financial controllers with specific industry experience and the ability to report to overseas based headquarters were the highest in demand in 2010
- Banking and financial services recruitment was most active in 1Q and 2Q of 2010
- Recruitment in the industrial, consumer and service sectors’ picked up in 2010 following little activity in 2009

Other roles Robert Walters Korea covers:
* Compliance Vice-President (Financial Services) – KRW135-180+ million
* CFO (Industry & Commerce) – KRW130-200+ million
* Tax Manager (Industry & Commerce) – KRW45-65 million
