Supervisor Accounting – The Walt Disney Company – Hoofddorp
Salary: € 50.000 - € 55.000
As Supervisor Accounting with The Walt Disney Company, you will work in an international and dynamic environment. The Supervisor Accounting will be reporting directly to the Accounting Manager Benelux and is an important sparring partner for both internal and external working relationships on accounting issues. The Supervisor Accounting will be supervising the Studios and Media reporting team. This team has the responsibility for the timely and accurate reporting and analyses functions in the Shared Services team for the various segments of the The Walt Disney Company Benelux. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor/Master degree in accounting, 4 to 5 years working experience and the right drive and ambition to make a career within The Walt Disney Company.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Supervising the Studios and Media reporting team, providing guidance, support and periodic evaluation and performance of the team;
Co-ordinate the quarterly close in an accurate and timely matter;
Review of the material reserves like reserves for Returns, Trade Spend, Film distribution costs and Music rights;
Review and Prepare Quarterly reporting packages to be submitted to the Regional and Global office;
Ensure compliance with the US GAAP requirements;
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, review and clear outstanding B/S items;
General compliance and administration;
Advise the finance department on accounting and reporting issues;
Ensure the integrity and reliability of internal controls in complying with the SOX requirements;
Provide the Cash flow statement for the Benelux, including variance analysis based on the P&L forecasts of the local Benelux and European Operations;
Develop internal reporting tools based on BW and BI;
Ensure all relevant Corporate and accounting policies are being properly communicated and complied with;
Contribute to the overall strategic and developmental planning of the Shared Accounting Services and assist in completing joint corporate initiatives;
Sparring partner of Accounting Manager in driving excellence in service and continuous enhancement in productivity;
Support system implementation for areas with impact on FOH systems, SAP and Global Template Design;
Support internal and external audit.
Education and Personal skills
Bachelor/Masters degree in Accounting or Finance;
4 to 6 years working experience;
Experience as Supervisor;
Excellent accounting skills;
Communicative, analytical and ambitious;
Advanced Excel knowledge (SAP is a must);
Fluent in English, Dutch preferred.
