This is a Senior Business Analyst position at an international financial services company in Amsterdam, focusing on either Risk or Finance to drive a data systems transformation project and bridge the gap between complex data flows and senior stakeholder management

This transformation initiative focuses on upping the quality of Data and Information Security within the Risk and Finance value chains. Driven by both regulatory necessity and internal optimization, the project involves mapping data algorithms, improving reporting quality, and ensuring robust process controls. The Senior Business Analyst should have a hands-on approach to drive the project effectively and efficiently.

As a Senior Business Analyst;

• Process Documentation: Analyze and document end-to-end data flows, algorithms, and financial reporting processes.

• SME Collaboration: Work within a specialized team and partnering closely with Subject Matter Experts to translate technical data requirements into actionable documentation.

• Stakeholder Management: Navigate communication between "on-the-ground" teams and Group-level leadership.

• Regulatory Alignment: Ensure data structures meet the stringent requirements of ECB/RDA (Risk Data Aggregation) standards.

Requirements

• Seniority: Proven track record as a Senior BA in Financial Services; able to work independently and influence high-level stakeholders.

• Data Literacy: Strong understanding of technology in financial reporting, including data flows, algorithms, and value chains.

• Audit/Control Mindset: Experience with process controls and data quality frameworks.

• Execution: A "sleeves-up" approach—someone who loves the detail of documentation as much as the strategy of stakeholder management.

• Bonus: Experience with specific banking products or BCBS/RDA (Risk Data Aggregation) frameworks.
