Core Compliance

For an International Bank with dynamic environment, Robert Walters is looking for a Core Compliance Officer. Tasks & Responsibilities

• Communicate with Headquarters Compliance team to align with local Compliance from a global perspective.
• Support the Compliance MT with assistance in ad-hoc cross-departmental, cross-regional projects.
• Handle country and cross border Compliance incidents and investigations and organize ad hoc compliance related meetings.
• Provide support and best practices to other European offices, and proactively work with Regional office, to identify areas of support and positive initiatives.
• Monitor and maintain good oversight of Group Compliance policies and be engaged in global compliance projects.
• Conduct education and training to increase awareness related to Compliance for staff in the office.
• Drive and support the maintenance and development of enhanced compliance systems.
• Maintain proactive communication with all internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating a positive and cooperative attitude.
• Coordinate and manage possible conflicts as well as incident management.
• Support Corporate Governance and enhancement initiatives.

Required for the job

• Bachelor's degree required
• 8-10 years of relevant experience in Compliance or related area within the Banking Sector.
• Banking and Regulatory Experience;
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships based on trust;
• Good analytical skills and independent thinking and execution;
• Dealing with complex and confidential issues involving competing interests;
• Dutch and English business level (verbal + writing);
• Open minded, willing to contribute to innovation and able to deliver results in tight deadlines.
