Senior Controller

For an international leasing company in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Business Controller. You will report directly to the Head of Controlling.

The Controlling department is responsible for the Controlling & Consolidation activities and focuses on the execution of the group & entity strategy. The Controlling department contributes actively to the completion of the Financial Reports to the Management Board, Shareholders (Headquarters) & Supervisors (consolidation accounts, statutory accounts, Capital & Financial Reports based on Local & Group Regulatory requirements, id Term Plan, yearly budget, quarterly actual/forecast and rolling forecast.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• To prepare & deliver financial reports, budget & forecast and perform controls to validate the correctness of the figures provided so that a correct and timely insight is obtained into the business processes and that the financial results of the company can be monitored and published at group level & to external parties;
• Monthly analysis of actuals vs budget / forecast;
• Cost analysis / allocation;
• Preparing recurring management reports including analytical comments;
• Prepare, check and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Management, Head Office and external financial institutions (DNB);
• Support management in preparing budgets, budget reviews and multi-year plans to gain an accurate understanding of short and medium term commercial and financial result.

How are you:

We are looking for a Business Controller with ~3-5 years relevant experience, a proactive mindset, strong analytical capabilities, good communication skills in both English and Dutch, and the ability to quickly absorb new information and work both independently and as a team. Strong experience with MS Excel is required, experience with Power Query and Power BI is highly desirable, as these tools are essential for the role.
