Finance Manager

Are you a qualified accountant with experience in financial services? Do you want to work in an international environment? Do you have the capabilities to work both hands-on and on a managerial level? Then keep reading.

As a Finance Manager you are responsible for all the financial topics that are related with the business in the Netherlands. This means you have to works hands-on in accounting related matters but should be able to work on a more managerial level as well. In time, you will be part of the Regional Management Team.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• The core tasks comprise of the responsibility for managing all insurance technical and financial accounting matters.
• Managing the Internal Control System (of the branch).
• Managing liquidity of the branch and thereby also contributing to managing the Company’s assets.
• Preparing and filing various tax declarations of the branch.
• Co-responsibility for and contributing to finance related and relevant IT projects in the branch location.
• Responsible for closing the ledgers of the branch quarterly.
• Responsible for one direct report. The number of direct reports will probably grow in the future.
• In time, participation in the regional management team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor degree (with specialisation Accounting)
• Qualification in accounting and / or controlling
• Senior accounting (or similar) role for at least 5 years
• Well developed English language skills
• High degree of independence, analytic thinking and a team player
• Resilience and willingness to go “the extra mile” in hectic times
• Open to and willing to learn new things
