Corporate Financial Controller
Westlake Epoxy is a global leader in the production of thermosetting epoxy resins, serving industries such as wind energy, automotive, transportation, coatings, and composites.
Your department/ team
The Corporate Financial Controller at Westlake Epoxy is ultimately responsible for the financial reporting and financial control of multiple French entities in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP. These are the so-called “Westlake France entities,” referring to the French Holding, Operating, and Research entities within Westlake.
As the financial controller for the “Westlake France entities,” you hold end-responsibility for all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings according to US GAAP, as well as for statutory reporting in accordance with local (French) GAAP. You report directly to the Corporate Finance Manager, based in Rotterdam. A solid understanding of all business processes is key to evaluating the accuracy of the balance sheet. Maintaining contact with various stakeholders within corporate, manufacturing, and business functions (tax, legal, and HR departments) is essential to stay informed about company developments — acting as a “spider in the web.” You are a key contact person for many, supporting interdisciplinary processes.
