Interim Financial Reporting and Accounting Professional

For an Asset Management company in Amsterdam we are currently recruiting for an Interim Financial Reporting and Accounting Professional. The duration of the assignment is 6 months and the team works 2 days in the office. Do you have experience within the asset management sector? The Interim Financial Reporting and Accounting Professional will be part of the Financial Reporting and Accounting team, which is an international and diverse team. The Financial Reporting and Accounting team delivers financial asset management reporting and accounting support to general account, Insurance Linked and Third-party funds of the organization as well as supervisory authorities.

Key responsibilities Interim Financial Reporting and Accounting Professional
• Contribute to the accurate and timely production of internal and external financial reporting in accordance with IFRS or Dutch GAAP.
• Assist with the annual reporting process.
• Oversight of NAV / fund accounting activities to ensure accurate calculation of Net Asset Value, timely cash and position reconciliations, supporting the input calculation and proper booking of dividend payments, income and expense allocations and monitoring adherence to internal policies.
• Work closely with a variety of stakeholders; to increase awareness of the team and its processes, plus maintain and develop working relationships.
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements.
• Participate in various internal projects where you oversee accounting and support new developments driven by Strategic and Regulatory changes.

Profile Interim Financial Reporting and Accounting Professional
• A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting; being a Chartered Accountant is an advantage.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS 9) and/or Dutch GAAP.
• Experience in asset management sector and knowledge of accounting and reporting of financial instruments.
• Knowledge of Simcorp Dimension would be an advantage.
• Experience with NAV / Fund Accounting oversight would be an advantage.
• A solid personality with excellent communication skills in English and preferably Dutch (both written and oral).

Start: mid of November / begin of December.
Duration: 6 months
Hours: 32- 40 hours
Location: 2 days on site
