Specialist Reporting Officer
For a financial institution in the asset management & pension fund sector in the Amsterdam area, I am currently looking for a Specialist Reporting Officer. As a Specialist Reporting Officer, you are the point of contact for complex client projects and provide accurate, high-quality financial client reports. You guide less experienced colleagues, take responsibility, and use your expertise to support our clients optimally. Responsibilities of a Specialist Reporting Officer
• Preparing periodic financial and regulatory reports for pension funds, insurers, investment funds, and the auditors and regulators of our clients;
• Maintaining client contact and requesting necessary information and documents;
• Acting as specialist for the onboarding and implementation of new clients and services.
• Leading client meetings for reporting distribution and monthly reports;
• Acting as a knowledge resource for less experienced colleagues, sharing your expertise and supporting them;
• Identifying opportunities and translating them into concrete actions to improve products and services;
• Further developing yourself and products by keeping up with market and technical developments;
• Collaborating with various teams and entities to continuously optimize and innovate service delivery;
• Guiding annual reporting processes, presenting reports, and drafting business cases to support strategic decisions.
Profile of a Specialist Reporting Officer
• A completed Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, economics, or a quantitative field. A background in accounting or asset management is a plus;
• At least 5 years of work experience in the financial sector, ideally with financial and regulatory reporting experience for pension funds, insurers, or investment funds;
• Knowledge of Dutch GAAP, RJ 610, RJ 615, IFRS, UK GAAP, German GAAP or IFRS;
• Preferably knowledge of securities (services) and accounting experience;
• Strong numerical insight, an analytical mindset, and a drive to continuously learn;
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages such as Dutch or German is a plus;
• Ability to prioritize and ensure deadlines are met. Additionally, you are helpful, quick to understand complex situations, and ambitious in pursuing goals;
• Able to work independently while keeping the interests of the client and team in mind.
