For a financial institution in Amsterdam recruiting for an Interim Finance Business Partner. The aim is to serve as the key Finance contact for local financial reporting, performance analysis, ensuring full transparency of financial results. Responsibilities Interim Finance Business Partner:
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial and regulatory reports in line with internal and external requirements.
- Facilitate and coordinate local financial planning processes, including budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Take full ownership of the local Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, ensuring integrity and transparency of financial data.
- Manage local liquidity, including cash flow monitoring and short-term funding needs.
- Actively support strategic business discussions by providing financial analysis, scenario modeling, and performance insights.
- This role acts as a bridge between finance and local business providing financial insights to controlling and CFO and driving informed decision-making at the local level.
- This role requires a high level of analytical and conceptual thinking, especially due to the complexity of financial data, regulatory frameworks (LI-GAAP, IFRS17), and the need to support strategic decision-making.
- Use professional judgment to solve ambiguous or non-standard financial challenges, often without clear precedents. Balance structured financial frameworks (e.g., LI-GAAP, IFRS17) with business context to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders (e.g., CFO, Controlling, Underwriting) to develop actionable insights and recommendations. Support strategic planning through scenario modeling, financial impact assessments, and business case development.
Requirements Interim Finance Business Partner:
- A completed HBO or WO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualifications such as RC (Registercontroller) or RA (Registeraccountant) are a plus.
- Familiarity with IFRS17 and financial reporting standards is highly desirable.
- Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of LI-GAAP and IFRS17 accounting standards, variance analysis, and financial reporting
- Analytical Skills: Skilled in interpreting complex data and generating actionable insights
- Tools & Systems: Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP, Oracle).
- Insurance Expertise: profound knowledge of insurance business in general.
- Business Acumen: Ability to connect financial data to business strategy and performance outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders including the CFO, Underwriting, and Controlling teams.
- Communication & Presentation: Capable of delivering clear financial storytelling in both written and verbal form
- Collaboration & Influence: Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build alignment across Finance, Accounting, and Business.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
