Treasury Controller

We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Treasury Controller to join a leading international bank in the Netherlands. This is a key role within the organization, focused on treasury accounting, control, and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of treasury accounting, including booking, reconciliation, and financial reporting
• Manage and oversee Hedge Accounting and Product Control activities
• Ensure accurate accounting treatment and documentation of treasury products and transactions
• Implement and control new treasury products from an accounting perspective
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls across treasury processes
• Monitor liquidity, funding, and cash flow from a control perspective
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., IFRS, Basel III)
• Act as a key stakeholder for audits and regulatory reviews.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience within treasury, product control, or financial accounting in banking or financial services
• Strong expertise in treasury accounting, hedge accounting, and financial instruments
• In-depth knowledge of accounting treatments and controls — you understand the subject “inside out”
• Experience with treasury product implementation is highly preferred
• Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in an international environment.
