Senior Internal Accountant

For a global corporate service provider and fund administrator we are looking for a Senior Internal Accountant. You will report into the Head of Finance Netherlands who is part of our local Management Team. You will work on a full range of finance projects and processes and act as a resource for colleagues and less experienced team members.

Tasks & responsibilities
In your day to day activities you will work with a tight team of Finance experts and Business Analysts to ensure financial control and process improvements.
• Accounting and closing process;
• Participating in month-end and year-end closing of several entities;
• Creation of the annual financial statements and VAT/CIT returns;
• Recording and validating all kinds of transactions and other information in accordance with the appropriate accounting standards (Dutch GAAP) using the accounting system (SAP);
• This includes management and incentive fees as well as compensation, T&E, income and expense accruals and tax calculations;
• Preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly financial results of several entities;
• Reconciling the balances of several entities;
• External/Internal billing (recharging to various global entities);
• Making recommendations regarding process and efficiency improvements, particularly with a focus on systems and tools;

Who are you
• Master specialization in Finance (Business Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy or Fiscal economics) or proven experience.
• 4-8 years experience in internal Accounting and/or Bookkeeping;
• Experience in providing financial advice;
• Experience with SAP Hana beneficial.
• Hands-on mentality;
• Communication and partnering skills;
• Knowledge of Dutch accounting standards and tax and compliance aspects;
• Knowledge of IFRS;
• Excellent command of the English language, verbal and written;
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high performing environment.
