For a market leader in the Financial Services Industry, we are looking for a Senior Financial Controller. You are responsible for preparing and verifying reports for internal and external stakeholders and lead the external reporting process of preparing the financial statements. You ensure proper execution of the consolidation activities on a monthly basis, assisting the director in overseeing the activities of the team members. Lastly, you ensure the uniformity of accounting policies throughout the Group.

Taks & Responsibilities
• Coordinate the reporting process and support the team members in the preparation of the notes to the financial statements and all the deliverables requested by the external auditors. Implement processes to meet new requirements e.g. XBRL / ESG reporting;
• IFRS standard changes are reviewed, and ARM is updated accordingly. Relevant disclosure requirements are implemented to ensure data availability and compliance;
• Monthly review of the data reported by the reporting entities to ensure completeness, correct understanding of accounting rules and reporting requirements, signal unexpected movements, advise reporting entities and ascertain compliance with the Group’s Accounting and Reporting Manual (ARM);
• Review developments in IFRS / ESG standards and other relevant regulations to ensure compliance to reporting requirements;
• Reply to questions from related to the correct application of ARM. Present and explain to countries how to deal with new reporting requirements during the monthly meetings and follow up with the entities to make sure the new requirements have been understood and met;
• Work with SAP BPC team and support partner to build new requirements in SAP BPC to support new initiative in IFRS and management reporting; work with SAP BPC team, external consultants. Test and development of new SAP BPC applications.

Qualification and Competencies
• The ideal candidate has the ability to corporate with various levels in the organization and with various stakeholders. She / he is also able to deal with confidential information, is reliable and has a high level of integrity.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in a reporting / accounting role;
• Degree in Finance / Accounting;
• Strong experience with finance systems (e.g. SAP) and reporting applications (SAP BPC / Tagetik);
• IFRS accounting standards and relevant ESG / ECB regulations;
• Work experience with SAP BPC and DM from a Group or user perspective;
• Work experience in finance analyst role and or in accounting/audit firm.
