Reporting Specialist Finance & ESG

For a European venture capital fund investing in impactful deep tech, focusing on sustainability and scalability, we are looking for a Reporting Specialist with a ESG element. You will support both the Director of Finance and ESG Officer.

Tasks & Responsibilities
• To support the Director of Finance and the ESG Officer
• To coordinate the preparation of financial statements and quarterly investor reports
• To oversee and implement cash management
• To instruct, facilitate and motivate portfolio companies to deliver data in a timely and complete manner
• To be the point-of-contact for external service providers
• To create and implement a system for efficient collection, monitoring and analysis/roll-up of firm and portfolio company data
• To evaluate, verify and ‘clean’ the data to prepare for reporting (financial and ESG)
• To reach out to portfolio companies to guide the data collection process and improve the quality of their data reports
• To regularly review ESG metrics, to improve the quality of data reports and make sure disclosures remain in line with stakeholder expectations and legal requirements

Knowledge and Experience Requirements
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience within financial institutions
• Relevant education at HBO or WO level
• Able to work independently and with a sense of responsibility, without losing sight of the interests of the team
• You work accurately, are resilient and helpful
• Solid finance knowledge and experience
• Experience with Power BI and interested in ESG
• Communicative strong
• The patience and motivation to periodically spend a relatively large amount of time analyzing and checking data, and at the same time the will and energy to keep improving and setting this up efficiently and effectively
• Fluent in English, Dutch would be a pré
