Back office/ Middle Office Specialist (treasury) in the Financial Services Sector This role will be at a growing International bank to be part of the middle/back office as a specialist for treasury and reporting

As Back office/ Middle Office Specialist (treasury) you are, together with a small team in Amsterdam, responsible for:

  • Regulatory reporting for EMIR, MIFID2 and SFTR
  • Correct processing of our Treasury trades and client transactions, such as FX, MM, Exchange, Money Market, Derivatives and Securities.
  • Processing tasks include accounting, payments, keeping of the Treasury book, reconciliation, margin calculation, contacting counterparties for follow-up and inquiry handling.

You will follow the developments in the financial sector and legal regulations closely and will recommend, implement

and maintain improvements to the accounting and payment systems.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Trade Execution: Book and post MM, FX, Swaps, Options, and internal transfers per 4-eyes principle.

  • Securities: Handle bond buy/sell orders for the bank and private clients.

  • Settlement & Verification: Confirm trade details with banks, settle funds, and manage front-to-back postings.

  • Daily Monitoring: Maintain the treasury book and reconcile nostro statements against daily deals.

  • Platform Management: Operate correspondent platforms (JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, Euroclear) and manage liquidity transfers.

  • Payment Operations: Prepare and input SWIFT, SEPA, and tax payments (incoming/outgoing).

  • Strategic Support: Assist subsidiaries (Turkey, Azerbaijan, Leasing/Factoring) with correspondent banking needs.

  • Compliance & Investigation: Resolve transaction discrepancies and complete mandatory compliance training.

Job requirements:

  • A completed higher professional education, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role at a banking institution.
  • Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the Swift system.
  • Knowledge of the Euroclear Easyway system
  • Expertise in the field of data automation
  • A good command of the English language.
  • You are responsible, accurate, flexible and stress resistant. You are a team player but can work independently if needed.
