Accountant

As an Accounting Specialist, your day-to-day activities will revolve around managing financial transactions, from processing bank transactions to booking incoming invoices. You'll play a crucial role in preparing VAT returns for multiple countries while ensuring compliance with environmental contribution filings. Your responsibilities will also extend to overseeing the company's vehicle fleet and assisting with various administrative tasks. The ability to take on additional responsibilities and provide support to colleagues when necessary will be key to your success in this role.

• Processing and reconciling bank transactions
• Booking incoming invoices accurately and efficiently
• Preparing and filing VAT returns for the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany
• Managing environmental contribution filings for the Netherlands and Belgium, including audits for RecyBEM and Recytyre
• Preparing and processing direct debits
• Overseeing and maintaining the company vehicle fleet
• Assisting with various administrative and accounting tasks as needed
• Taking on additional responsibilities and backing up colleagues when required

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Accounting Specialist role will bring proven experience in accounting or financial administration. Your strong attention to detail and organisational skills will enable you to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of VAT filings and financial regulations across different countries would be highly beneficial. Experience with Exact or similar accounting software would further enhance your application. • Fluent in Dutch and English
• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration is essential
