Position Overview

As a Senior Specialist Accounting & Tax, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting, tax, and treasury processes within the Dutch entity. Working from the modern central office in Utrecht, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with local and international regulations, and continuous process improvement. This role is ideal for someone experienced in the telecommunications industry or a similarly complex international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual financial closing processes and reporting activities

• Oversee general ledger management, financial accounting entries, and bookkeeping standards

• Ensure tax compliance, including preparation and timely submission of tax filings

• Support optimization of tax positions within regulatory boundaries

• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury administration, and payment cycles

• Coordinate cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning

• Manage interactions with external auditors and support audit cycles

• Oversee lease accounting activities (Dutch GAAP and IFRS)

• Work cross-functionally with corporate teams, business control, procurement and IT to enhance financial operations and systems

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance

Who We Are Looking For?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Business Control or similar

• Several years of experience in Accounting & Tax roles, ideally within the tech-driven corporate environment

• Strong understanding of Dutch reporting and tax regulations

• Experience working in an international or matrix organization is an advantage

• Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a strong asset

• Analytical, structured, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Able to collaborate across departments and communicate clearly with stakeholders
