A step change in battery performance is in high demand from our application markets, and our architecture boosts energy density and charging rates without compromising safety and duration/life.

Our multinational and highly diverse team consists of 50 people across multiple locations. Our innovation centre is based at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, a leading European innovation hub, and we have a cell manufacturing facility in Scotland. In addition, we are expanding our manufacturing capacity with a new production line at the Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) in Eindhoven, giving us everything we need to realise our innovation.

As Controller, you’ll play a central role in shaping and professionalizing LionVolt’s financial operations. You’ll oversee our outsourced financial administration, coordinate internal and external reporting, and be the main contact for auditors, banks, and insurance providers. You’ll also support strategic financial topics such as cap table management and investor reporting, and assist with legal and financial preparations for upcoming funding rounds.

This is a role for someone who gets excited about helping build a fast-growing company — someone who wants to leave their mark on processes, systems, and structure, and who enjoys the mix of operational finance and strategic involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the (outsourced) financial administrations, consisting of NL and UK
• Managing the procurement process, invoices and weekly payment runs
• Develop and deliver monthly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate the preparation of annual financial statements and manage audit processes
• Act as the primary contact for external accountants, banks, and insurance providers
• Coordinate subsidy reporting and compliance, including audit preparations and verification statements
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
• Managing tax matters including VAT, WKR, CIT and payroll taxes
• Lead and implement process improvement and financial optimization projects
• Building and shaping our administrative organization and internal financial controls
• Execute various other finance-related responsibilities in a dynamic scale-up environment

What You Bring

• Relevant Bachelor/Masters degree (e.g. Finance, Accounting), and additional post master is a plus
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a controller or in a senior finance position
• A builder’s mentality: You enjoy creating and improving processes, not just maintaining them
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Familiarity with subsidy reporting and assurance processes is required
• Affinity with venture capital environments is a plus
• Proficiency with financial software applications; experience with system implementation is a bonus
• A hands-on, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus
• Experience in a scale-up, tech, or manufacturing environment is beneficial
