Senior Business Controller

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Business Controller acts as a strategic finance partner for two Service Line Managing Directors, ensuring high-quality financial steering, robust performance insights, and disciplined control across the assigned Business Units. The role combines analytical depth, business understanding, and hands-on involvement in both recurring processes and strategic initiatives, including the integration of newly acquired entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Partnering & Performance Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for two Service Line Managing Directors and the Business Line Management Team.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the operational, commercial, and financial drivers of the assigned Business Units.
  • Prepare and provide insightful monthly performance commentary for the Service Lines
  • Support strategic decision making
• Recurring Financial Processes
  • Lead and coordinate key cycles for the Business Units under scope, including:
    • Monthly closing and performance review
    • Quarterly forecasting
    • Annual budgeting
  • Monitor data quality and ensure information submitted by Business Units is aligned with Normec reporting standards.
• KPI Monitoring & Operational Insight
• Cash & Working Capital Management
• Internal Controls & Governance
• Integration of Newly Acquired Business Units
• Ad-hoc Support & Continuous Improvement

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• 7 - 10 years of relevant experience, ideally combining Business Controlling roles with experience from a Big 4 audit firm (preferred).
• Preferably a Registered Accountant (RA) or Registered Controller (RC).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate information into clear insights.
• Highly proficient in preparing executive-level presentations, performance packs, and management reporting.
