Medior Accountant
Nihot is an internationally operating machinery manufacturer with approximately 65 employees, specializing in advanced separation technology for the recycling industry. From its own production facility, the company develops, produces, and supplies installations and components worldwide. The organization is characterized by a technical, project-driven environment with short communication lines.
About the role
Although this position is internally referred to as “Accountant”, the emphasis is clearly on business control, process optimization, and finance projects. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and be responsible for improving financial processes, implementing systems, and supporting strategic decision-making.
You act as a financial expert within the organization, proactively advising on administrative and business-economic matters. The role has a strong project-based character and offers significant opportunities to make an impact in a technical, project-driven environment.
What will you do?
You will work on various finance and optimization projects, including:
Ongoing projects:
- Product introduction and setup of a cost calculation system
- Redevelopment of the pre-calculation model
- Introduction of interim inventory and DDMRP systematics
Future projects:
- Automation of time registration
- Transfer pricing within the group
- Evaluation of office relocation versus budget
- Continuation of ERP migration / HRM & payroll administration
- Various automation projects within financial administration
Your main focus areas will be:
- Finance process optimization
- Implementation of systems and models
- Cost price calculations and post-calculations
- Support for strategic decision-making
Team & organization
You will join a compact and professional finance team:
- 1 Finance Manager
- 1 Senior Accountant
- 3 Finance employees
Nihot has approximately 65 FTE and operates in the machinery / manufacturing industry. The organization features:
- Its own production facility
- Its own parts trading operations
- Project-based revenue recognition (percentage of completion method)
What do you bring?
- MBO or HBO degree in Finance or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with BI tools (required)
- Strong command of the English language (spoken and written, required)
- Dutch or Afrikaans is not required, but preferred
- Experience in manufacturing industry (preferred)
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial and eager-to-learn mindset
Compensation & benefits
- Salary: €67,000 – €72,000 gross per year
- Hybrid working (max. 40%)
- 25 vacation days + 13 ADV days
- Option to exchange ADV days for salary
- Travel allowance (€0.23 per km / full public transport reimbursement)
- Sports allowance €15 net per month
- Absence bonus up to €600 per year
- Overtime paid at 146.6% (first 2 hours)
