Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Group Financial Controller – Supply Chain to lead the accounting, controlling, and financial risk agenda across the European Supply Chain organization.

This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting, governance, and business partnering. It requires ownership of financial stewardship and controls while supporting large-scale operational and transformation initiatives in close collaboration with senior supply chain and finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, complete, and accurate financial accounting and reporting for group, statutory, and tax purposes
• Maintain and safeguard compliance with global financial control frameworks and core finance processes
• Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, acting as a primary point of contact for auditors
• Drive proactive financial risk management and maintain strong operational control standards
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestments from an accounting and reporting perspective
• Oversee foreign currency exposure and ensure hedging activities are executed in line with treasury policies
• Improve efficiency and consistency of compliance and control activities in collaboration with shared service and operations teams
• Act as a key finance partner to supply chain leadership on accounting matters and business transformation initiatives
• Manage and influence a broad internal stakeholder landscape across finance, supply chain, tax, legal, treasury, and corporate teams

Whom We Are Looking For

• 7–10+ years of relevant finance experience, supported by a finance degree or professional accounting qualification
• Strong background in financial accounting and reporting within complex, multinational environments
• Solid knowledge of IFRS, Dutch GAAP, and direct and indirect taxation
• Proven experience leading internal and external audits
• Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple systems and entities
• Ability to manage and influence stakeholders at local, regional, and global level
• Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to operate effectively under time pressure
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to translate complex topics into clear and concise messages
• Fluent in English; Dutch is preferred or a willingness to learn
