Your department / team
As the organization grows rapidly, the Finance team is expanding to strengthen control, scalability, and efficiency. In this role, you will work closely with a fellow Controller, the Finance Assistant, and the CFO to further develop and professionalize the Finance function, raising standards in processes, controlling, planning, and automation.
Your tasks and responsibilities
This role combines responsibilities across financial controlling and business controlling, contributing both to robust financial governance and forward‑looking decision support.
Financial Controlling
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial accounting and reporting
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and support the month‑end close process
- Support the preparation of management reports and analyze budget versus actual performance
- Perform ad‑hoc financial analyses, oversee credit control activities, and coordinate the annual external audit
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial processes, policies, and documentation
Business Controlling
- Support financial planning, control, and management reporting activities
- Optimize the setup, processes, and effective use of ERP functionalities and strengthen integrations with systems such as CRM, HRIS, and project management tools
- Enhance management reporting through the development of live dashboards (e.g. Power BI)
- Build and maintain reliable planning models and regularly assess their accuracy and relevance
- Contribute to the design and further development of the performance management framework
In this role, you are actively involved in internal and external reporting, financial planning and control (FP&C), and audit processes. You challenge existing practices and provide stakeholders with accurate, timely, and actionable insights. By ensuring the reliability of accounting data and proactively addressing process gaps, you help prevent inefficiencies and delays. Through close involvement in day‑to‑day financial operations, you also drive continuous ERP improvements and strengthen integrations between finance and other corporate systems.
Your knowledge and experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience as a Controller in an international environment, covering both financial and business controlling
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central = must
- Strong accounting knowledge and a solid understanding of financial processes
- Experience with finance‑related IT projects
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office
- Experience with Power BI is a plus
- Professional fluency in English; Dutch is an advantage
