Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a highly motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join the finance team in Amersfoort. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is crucial in ensuring the financial health and compliance of Dutch entities. Within this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting, reporting, and controlling tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Daily Accounting: Handle the daily accounting functions for four Dutch entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Financial Statements Preparation: Prepare and finalize statutory financial statements for four Dutch entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Month-End Closing: Oversee and execute month-end closing processes.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare and report monthly forecasts, as well as quarterly group reports, for four entities, providing insights and analysis to support business decisions.
- Controlling Activities: Manage bank reconciliations, payroll, intercompany transactions, payments, new vendor controls, and prepayments to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
- Audit Support: Assist or manage external audits, ensuring that all financial practices meet regulatory standards and audit requirements.
A Perfect Candidate for the role:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Accounting.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international corporate environment.
- Tax and SAP Business One experience is a strong plus.
- Fast learner with a systematic approach, capable of juggling competing priorities.
- Analytical skills and a high level of integrity are essential.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Fluency in English
