Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will oversee all finance, accounting, tax, and treasury activities for their Netherlands entities. You will collaborate closely with internal departments, corporate teams, and external entities to ensure compliance with both local and international regulations. You will also play a crucial role in supporting monthly closing and reporting processes, working alongside Management Control, Procurement, and other departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate, implement, and monitor financial and accounting processes in line with the Group’s policies, focusing on Accounting, Tax, and Treasury.
- Supervise bookkeeping activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinate monthly and annual accounts closing and reporting for various stakeholders.
- Oversee the invoicing process and ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
- Manage treasury administration activities, including payments, reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.
- Control accounts payable, receivables, and working capital management.
- Coordinate with external auditors and lead audit processes.
- Supervise lease rents administration to ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
- Support IT implementation projects to enhance finance processes and efficiency.
- Manage and supervise external suppliers to maintain service quality and timeliness.
Who we are looking for?
The ideal candidate is a dynamic and experienced professional who:
- Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Has significant experience in accounting and tax regulations, within the telecommunications or technology sector.
- Possesses strong communication and influencing skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch is a significant advantage.
- Has a proven track record in managing accounting, tax, and treasury processes at a corporate level.
- Demonstrates experience in leading audit processes.
- Exhibits an analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Is adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
