Position Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Finance Business Partner (Tax & Compliance) to join our finance team based in Luxembourg. In this role, you will be a key finance partner to the local team, primarily responsible for tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will also contribute to broader finance initiatives, including the transition to a new finance platform, and will have opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across Europe and the UK. Occasional travel to London may be required. As an Finance Business Partner, you will play a vital role in the financial operations within the industry, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance (Luxembourg and other regions):
- Prepare, review, and file Luxembourg CIT and VAT returns.
- Assist in the preparation of periodical VAT and CIT returns for various jurisdictions.
- Review German and UK VAT returns.
- Review Transfer Pricing study reports.
- Coordinate overall tax compliance across Europe.
- Communicate with local service providers regarding tax matters.
Other Compliance:
- Coordinate non-tax compliance reporting, including:
- Central bank reporting.
- Statistical reporting.
- Transaction reporting.
- Country-by-country reporting.
Other regulatory obligations.
- Communicate with local service providers to ensure compliance.
Financial Accounting:
- Proactively manage and review third-party accounting services.
- Review monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Complete intercompany reconciliations.
- Review interest calculation schedules.
- Review monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments.
Monthly and Year-End Reporting:
- Review and analyze monthly trial balances and variances.
- Review annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and legal advisors as needed.
Business Information and Analysis:
- Provide insight into monthly financial results and communicate key findings.
- Support group and local teams with ad hoc matters, including budgeting, re-forecasting, financial analysis, and tax matters.
Whom We Are Looking For?
- The ideal candidate for the Finance Business Partner position will have:
- Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or Bookkeeping experience.
- A certified qualification or completion of professional exams (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT) is preferred.
- Fluency in English. Additionally you should speak either German or French.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A proactive mindset, eager to leverage technology to drive efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in the real estate industry is a plus but not essential.
