Senior Business Analyst

Terminal and infrastructure investments are a crucial element of the strategy agenda. Hapag-Lloyd acquired substantial stakes or all shares of companies worldwide. The holding company for this new business line: Hapag-Lloyd Terminal Holding B.V., will be located in Rotterdam, Waalhaven.

To control all the acquired companies, Hapag-Lloyd will build a new Finance team. They will start with a team of 6FTE, and each person has their own focus you will own and lead the design, development, implementation and maintenance of innovative and intuitive reports and dashboards to achieve business goals. You will be the linking pin with IT and built new dashboards in Tableau/PowerBI/QlickSense. The terminals are situated worldwide and each entity works so it will be a difficult job to make sure all data is trustworthy. You will work closely with the Senior Controller and Manager Control.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Working closely with stakeholders to find data-driven solutions;
• Owning and leading the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of innovative and intuitive reports and dashboards to achieve business goals;
• Together with IT colleagues, ensure optimal system support of Controlling processes;
• Coordinate month end closing activities in SAP CO and related systems, including cost allocation processes;
• Prepare and present to senior management;
• Support ad hoc requests as needed to drive organizational performance.

Your profile and experience

• Bachelor's Degree with focus on Engineering or Economics;
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in a Business Analyst position;
• Good understanding of the financial planning & control cycle;
• Exposure to data visualization tools like Board, Qlik, Tableau, Power BI;
• Experience in development of dashboards through several BI tools;
• Outstanding systematic, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
• Diligence and capability to work on parallel projects at the same time;
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills;
• Good programming skills in SQL and R, Python, VBA or a comparable programming language.
