Business Controller

For a renowned player in the logistics market I am looking for a driven Business Controller who wants to work within a dynamic environment. Schenk Tanktransport is a dynamic and specialised international tank transport company. Its business activities consist of (international) transport of fuels, lubricating oils, LPG, industrial gases, LNG, bitumen, and chemicals.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Coordinating the annual budget process for the Dutch entities; analysing and consolidating the budget input for the department managers.
• Monthly analyse the results per entity and per department; discuss and analyse these results with the department managers; report deviations from budget to the management.
• Periodically prepare financial and cash flow forecast, based on input from department managers.
• Make post-calculations for results per customer and analyse these together with the relevant managers.
• Calculate, analyse and report monthly financial KPIs.
• Assist with and review costing calculations.
• Analyse and review investment and financing issues.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses based on requests from management and directors.
• Initiating improvement processes.
• Optimisation of processes around financial data and KPIs.
• Thinking along about further digitalisation, mainly in the field of data/BI.
• Drawing up and maintaining the risk & opportunity matrix.

Your experience and knowledge

• You have a WO or HBO education, possibly supplemented with an RC qualification.
• You have at least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a similar industry.
• You can deal well with different and complex business processes and analytical models.
• You have strong analytical skills, are critical and have a good sense of relevance and data.
• You are good with numbers and have commercial insight.
• You have good communication and contact skills.
• You have a good command of the English language.
• You get energy from improvement projects and always look for opportunities to improve.
• You are flexible, have a hands-on mentality, are proactive and result oriented.
