Business Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Controller for the Benelux market to help the company achieve its goals and improve processes and controls. In this role, you will be a key business partner for management in the Benelux region and at the company’s headquarters. Your primary responsibility will be to translate the headquarters’ goals and strategies to the regional level. This includes establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing insights for successful business operations. Additionally, you will support the Finance Manager and be a backup during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in monthly closings, including analyzing profit margins, calculating logistics KPIs, and trade discounts.
• Translate financial results into reports and analyses for management at both the Benelux and headquarters levels.
• Identify market trends, make forecasts, and provide recommendations.
• Prepare reliable operational and financial reports, such as business cases and management reports.
• Conduct business and strategic scenario analyses to drive improvement processes, particularly in planning and budgeting.
• Assist in analyzing trends and variances and help prepare management reports during peak periods.
• Analyze and support the automation of processes where possible.

Ideal Candidate for the Position:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree (preferably in Economics or Finance).

• At least five years of work experience, with a minimum of two in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with SAP, Qlik Sense, and Magnitude is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and analytical.
• Strong project management skills and a hands-on mentality.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proactive approach.
