Are you an experienced financial professional looking for a new challenge in a dynamic international environment? For a leading shipping company in the Drechtsteden region, we are looking for a Senior Business Controller to play a key role in the financial steering and decision-making of the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and business performance analysis at a group level. You will collaborate closely with various divisions and act as a strategic business partner to senior management. Additionally, you will contribute to optimizing processes, standardizing reporting, and developing data-driven insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis – Coordinate, monitor, and report on budget and forecast processes
• Business Partnering – Work closely with different divisions to optimize financial performance
• Strategic Insights – Identify opportunities and risks, and translate financial data into valuable management information
• Process Improvement – Enhance reporting, processes, and data analysis to support efficient decision-making
• Ad-hoc Analyses – Initiate and execute in-depth financial and operational analyses

Your Profile

• A Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting
• At least 7 years of experience in business/financial control at a divisional or group level
• Strong analytical skills and a hands-on mentality
• Experience with Power BI; knowledge of OneStream is a plus
• A proactive and results-driven mindset
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at various levels
• Fluency in Dutch and English
