Finance Manager

Our client is a company in the Renewable Energy sector, located in Amersfoort. They are currently seeking an enthusiastic Finance Manager to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
As the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will serve as the crucial link between the client's CFO and the Finance Team, driving Accounting & Reporting to new heights. Key responsibilities include:
- Team Leadership: Managing and nurturing the Financial Accounting & Reporting team, fostering cooperation and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Financial Accuracy: Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial figures, including the preparation of statutory annual accounts for multiple entities in the Netherlands.
- Reporting: Overseeing monthly and year-end closing activities, including reports to the Group, adhering to deadlines and formal requirements, predominantly in English.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinating both internal and external financial audits and following up on audit recommendations.
- Operational Excellence: Ensuring the smooth operation of the Accounting & Reporting organization, monitoring performance through a KPI dashboard.
- Payments and Forecasting: Validating payments and managing cash forecasts to optimize financial stability.
- Process Improvement: Actively participating in improvement processes, potentially as a process owner of an ERP system.
- Business Support: Providing support to the business operations with operational and financial analyses, collaborating with the Business Controller to create annual budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

- Educational Background: A Master's degree in financial and business administration.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including a managerial position.
- Compliance Expertise: Proficiency in internal control frameworks, laws, regulations, taxes, and insurance.
- Team Leadership: Proven experience in managing, coaching, and developing teams.
- Financial Management: Practical knowledge of financial management in project environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, and experience with Power BI are advantageous.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with the ability to transition seamlessly between details and the bigger picture.
- Communication: Excellent communication and management skills.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
