Financial Controller

Wilmar is looking for an ambitious financial professional to join the finance team. After learning all the ins and outs, becoming familiar with the required processes, and gaining enough experience you would have the opportunity to be promoted to Senior Financial Controller. To be successful in this position it is important is to have a strong attention to detail and ability to understand “the bigger picture” in relation to their business model and the necessary controls.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Prepare month end/year end closing and monthly reporting;
• Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc requests and test and implement new functionalities in SAP;
• Liaise with subsidiaries regarding intercompany reconciliation;
• Reconcile stock position at month end and analyse differences;
• Liaise with operations regarding stocks and production;
• Reconcile and register stock movement with purchases, sales, production, and stock adjustments;
• Prepare monthly production report;
• Monitor clearing accounts regarding stocks, production, and invoices to be received.

Your experience and knowledge

• Masters or bachelor’s degree (HBO education) in finance and accounting or comparable;
• Preferably an RA degree;
• 4 years’ experience in financial control and accounting, must have dealt with month and year end closing;
• Speaking/reading/writing fluent English, with excellent communication skills;
• Experience with ERP systems preferable SAP;
• Excellent knowledge of/and skills in Excel/BI;
• Knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
