Your tasks and responsibilities

• Focal finance point of contact for the Belgian entities with both finance and control responsibilities and deliver external reporting such as perform the Belgian audit and prepare the annual accounts, all governmental submissions, calculation of taxes
• Manage controlling tasks to report results and liaise with the relevant external service partners for an efficient process and ensure financial controlling data and processes are reflecting the business correctly, deliver operational support and analysis necessary for effective management of the business and longer-term planning
• Support growth, efficiency and profitability enhancements on all fields, making business cases, design value added reports, create ad hoc analyses and be a reliable all round business partner
• Working with(in) and through the Finance and Control community, continuously improving and optimizing processes through local and regional projects, contributing to the automation acceleration of the Linde IT journey
• Monthly end reporting process: ensuring accuracy in reporting, timeliness and adherence to local GAAP and Group requirements
• Preparation of forecasts regarding turnover, costs, results, cash and investments, reflecting the market and trends

Your experience and knowledge

• Bachelor/master’s degree in Finance and 5+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Strong SAP or other relevant knowledge as well as IT literate with good technical skills, such as Excel modelling, Power Pivots
• Effective at influencing up, down and across organization towards both the business and within the finance community whilst being a strong communicator, decisive and concise
• Fluent in English and Dutch is preferred, experience with Belgian reporting is considered a plus
