Your tasks and responsibilities

As Internal Controller you are part of the Internal Control team within the Accounting Department of the client, which is independent from Risk and Internal Audit. The department has a working culture of being supportive, motivated, ambitious, and working together in an informal way.

Your responsibilities include further design and implement the Global Internal Control Framework and provide support and resolution of risks identified in collaboration with the business management and internal & external audit.

You are a good match for this role if you have several years of relevant risk and internal control experience. With your strong communication skills you are able to influence stakeholders at all levels and to build relationships them.

• Further design and implement the Global Internal Control Framework and identify deficiencies / opportunities for improvement through an understanding of the company;
• Proactively provides consultation and guidance to process owners to ensure key risks continue to be mitigated;
• Further facilitate the identification and resolution of Segregation of Duties risk within the group and local offices;
• Participates in various working groups/project teams to identify and implement new requirements as part of the Global Internal Control framework;
• Support the implementation of relevant GRC tooling and the roll-out to local offices;
• Provide support and resolution of risks identified in collaboration with the business management and Internal / External audit; support the internal process of tracking and validating audit findings;
• Liaise with local Controllers and Business process owners to facilitate sustainable risk & control management in local offices.

Your experience and knowledge

• A qualified degree in Accounting & Finance (preferably CPA or equivalent);
• Approximately 4 years’ relevant risk and internal control experience (preferable in a Big4 firm) with a strong interest in building a risk based internal control framework;
• Experience to facilitate discussion around key risks and applying risk evaluation methodology;
• Curiosity and willingness to learn the company’s business;
• Catalyst for change with the ability to drive continuous change;
• Deliver through others/ability to influence people at all levels and to build relationships with these stakeholders;
• Affinity to systems and tooling, interest in automation and continuous monitoring.
• Fluent in English, in addition Portuguese / Spanish is an advantage;
• IT literate in MS office, experience with SAP, SAP GRC, SAP Access control is a plus.
