The People team of this creative company is looking for a self-starting, bright, enthusiastic HR Business Partner to enhance the employee experience across and deliver value adding HR services. The role will partner leaders, providing HR support and direction, developing a clear, consistent and streamlined HR strategy within the context of a growing and changing business.

The People team sits at the heart of the Group and is focused on attracting, retaining and developing exceptional people, enabling them to be the best they can be to drive continued success in the market place. The team designs, implements and facilitates HR programs around Recruitment, Management & Development, Employee Engagement, Compensation and Benefits and HR Processes & Policies. The team also partners with the business to support key organisational initiatives. You will also form part to our global HR team which is evolving – the company is looking for creative, curious and commercially orientated partners that will drive change and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary HR contact and strategic HR partner to roll out key people processes (introducing appropriate policies and procedures, onboarding, establishing and implementing new and effective recruitment strategies etc.) in accordance with global approaches but tailored for local environment
  • Partner with senior management and department heads on strategic initiatives including: employee engagement, retention, performance planning, compensation/title analysis, employee relations matters, career development, succession planning and organisational structuring
  • Direct the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance with the aim of developing people to their full potential consistent with the overall business strategy
  • Manage day-to-day HR responsibilities such as HRIS system input and management, relocation, terminations, contracts, employee benchmarking, annual merit and bonus process, payroll
  • Manage the relationships with the Dutch Works Council, preparing and attending the meetings and overseeing the agreement(s) in place
  • Ensure the people compliance of the HR Department and the Company
  • Responds to all levels of employee relation issues and partner with internal/external legal counsel to project-manage and resolve issues
  • Partners with Department Heads and the Legal department on employee contract agreements
  • Conducts research, contributes to projects and timelines, and participates as a hands-on contributor on teams and committees toward the successful completion of various HR initiatives
  • Collaborate with the wider HR team to successfully deliver programs, initiatives and cycles (eg Year-End Merit & Bonus, Budgeting, Compliance, Talent & Development etc)
  • Conduct termination and exit interview meetings
  • Facilitates the creation of job descriptions with hiring managers, translate hiring needs, participate in interview process and ensure effective filling of all positions
  • To be an active member of the wider Global HR team and coordinate with the HR teams based in other regions, as appropriate
  • Maintain a knowledge about Labour law updated
  • Navigate complex situations, environments and team dynamics
  • Provide strategic HR partnership and guidance to your stakeholders, challenging ways of thinking and advocating the people agenda
  • Partner with global communities of excellence and other regional HR resources, to leverage existing practices, tap into knowledge and apply thought leadership to Spinnin’ in relation to compensation and benefits, talent and development, talent acquisition, HR operations and HRIS

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Human Resources with experience as an HR generalist or equivalent
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and inter-personal skills in both Dutch and English
  • Working understanding of employment law and other government compliance regulations
  • You have strong organizational skills. Strong time management skills and personal efficiency are key attributes to HR effectiveness
  • You have an easy time multitasking and operating autonomously
  • You have outstanding attention to detail and follow-through
  • Project manage and deliver – you are highly organized and structured
  • Demonstrate a data driven approach – you are highly analytical and able to draw insight from data and use/promote technology enablement
  • Show cultural curiosity, be an inquisitive networker and leverage insight from the external world to keep abreast of trends in the market
  • Advocate the talent agenda and act as a culture champion
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-growing, rapidly changing environment
  • High tolerance to ambiguity and a flexible approach
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solve with analytical skills to cut through complexity

  • Experience working within a creative industry
  • Working knowledge of Workday
  • International HR experience/knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or related field
  • Additional language skills and experience across a wider range of international territories delivering strategic and operational HR
  • Must be able to travel
