Our client, Ranpak, a leading provider of environmentally sustainable product protection solutions for e-commerce and industrial supply chains, is seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel. You will be responsible for a wide variety of legal matters across the EMEA business, including commercial contracts with suppliers, distributors, and customers, as well as the protection and enhancement of Ranpak’s intellectual property portfolio.

Description

What you'll do:

As a Commercial Legal Counsel at Ranpak, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business by handling a wide array of legal matters across the EMEA region. Your responsibilities will include managing commercial contracts with various stakeholders such as suppliers, distributors, and customers. Additionally, you will be tasked with protecting and enhancing Ranpak's intellectual property portfolio. You will also act as a Business Partner, providing valuable advice on strategic business objectives. Reporting directly to the Director Senior Counsel, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's legal affairs.

• Handle a wide variety of legal matters across the EMEA business
• Manage commercial contracts with suppliers, distributors, and customers
• Protect and enhance Ranpak’s intellectual property portfolio
• Provide support for all legal matters related to EMEA Region of Ranpak
• Act as Business Partner advising on strategic business objectives
• Report directly to the Director Senior Counsel

Profile

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Commercial Legal Counsel position at Ranpak will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table. With a Dutch law degree and a minimum of 8 years of work experience gained either at a law firm and/or as an in-house legal counsel, you are well-versed in navigating complex legal landscapes. Your good knowledge of commercial contract law will be invaluable in managing relationships with suppliers, distributors, and customers. Experience with IP law would be beneficial but is not essential. Above all else, we are looking for someone who is business-minded with excellent communication skills.

• Dutch law degree
• Minimum of 8 years of work experience gained at a law firm and/or as an in-house legal counsel
• Good knowledge of commercial contract law
• Experience with IP law is a plus
• Business-minded with excellent communication skills
