What you'll do:

As an Operational Buyer for Raw Materials and Fertilizers, your role will be pivotal within our organisation. You'll have the opportunity to actively participate in procurement processes, striving for efficiency gains at every turn. Your responsibilities will include managing the operational aspects of sourcing processes, issuing purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of items, and addressing any issues that arise during sourcing. You'll also be involved in negotiations with both local and global suppliers. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to review, prepare, verify and approve financial transactions within established frameworks.

• Actively participate in the Procurement process with the goal of achieving efficiency gains.
• In charge of the operational part of the sourcing process.
• Issue purchase orders/call-offs.
• Follow up on orders to ensure that items are shipped and delivered on time.
• Address and solve issues during the sourcing process, including close cooperation with logistics and production colleagues in the relevant sites.
• Analyze processes and share learnings within the organization.
• Taking part in negotiations with local and global suppliers of Raw materials NPK category.
• Assist the Global Sourcing Managers in preparing and coordinating bids, provide them with relevant information.
• Review, prepare, verify and/or approve financial and business transactions within established frameworks and guidelines.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Operational Buyer position will bring a wealth of relevant experience to the table. You'll have worked in an analytical or coordinating role before, ideally within procurement. Experience within the chemical industry would be advantageous. A technical degree such as Chemistry or Chemical Engineering would be beneficial. Your strong Excel and SAP skills will be put to good use, as will your excellent communication and organisational abilities. Your negotiation and conflict resolution skills will be key in this role, as will your result-driven personality and ability to work autonomously.

• Relevant work experience in an analytical and coordinating role, preferably within procurement.
• Experience in the chemical or relevant industry is an advantage.
• Bachelor or similar degree in a technical based field (for example Chemist or Chemical Engineer).
• Strong Excel and SAP skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Result driven personality and able to work autonomously.
• Strong business orientation and understanding of business processes.
