What you'll do:

As an IT Procurement Specialist, your role will be pivotal in understanding the unique market positioning and procurement needs. You will independently handle procure-to-pay activities that hold high business value. Your leadership skills will be put to use in sourcing activities, negotiations, and contract awards while ensuring stakeholder expectations are met. Building solid relationships with stakeholders and vendors will be part of your daily routine. Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations is crucial in this role. You will also contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by challenging current processes. Lastly, you will drive individual projects directed towards the team’s overall strategy.

• Understand unique market positioning and procurement needs
• Independently complete procure-to-pay activities with high business value
• Lead sourcing activities, negotiations and contract award while managing stakeholder expectations
• Act as a facilitator and build solid relationships with stakeholders and vendors
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by challenging current processes
• Drive individual projects directed towards the team’s overall strategy

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this IT Procurement Specialist role brings 6+ years' experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain ideally within a FinTech environment. A university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field is required. Strong negotiation and communication skills coupled with expert level knowledge of commercial markets and emerging technologies are essential. The ability to make decisions under pressure and adapt to changing situations in a collaborative and fast paced environment is key. An advanced understanding of IT Services and SaaS business models is expected. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to prioritise, manage time efficiently and take full ownership of projects. Strong English communication skills are required; Dutch communication skills are a strong plus. Knowledge of EU financial compliances and regulations (DORA, EBA, AFM, ESG), as well as experience with different iterations of ERP & Procurement systems, would be a strong advantage.
