Sales & Operations Business Process Owner

Do you currently own end-to-end Sales and Supply Chain processes in a complex, operational environment? Are you experienced in driving measurable process improvements using Lean methodology and certified at Green Belt level or higher? And are you based in the Netherlands, looking for a senior on-site role where you can truly influence how a business operates? If so, this opportunity is likely to be highly relevant.

For a fast-growing, international organisation active in the bio-based products value chain we are looking for a Sales & Operations Business Process Owner, for their European headquarters based in Rotterdam. The company operates in a highly supply chain–driven environment and is known for its strong focus on sustainability, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The Role

As Business Process Owner Sales & Operations, you will be accountable for the performance, maturity and continuous improvement of several critical end-to-end business processes. You will operate at the intersection of business, operations and IT, working closely with senior stakeholders across Sales and Supply Chain. This is a senior, hands-on role with real ownership and visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage end-to-end business processes including:

    • Market-to-Order

    • Order-to-Cash

    • Transport Management

    • Warehouse Operations

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodology

  • Assess process maturity and define clear improvement roadmaps with business leadership

  • Translate business demand into structured, actionable requirements for IT

  • Lead cross-functional process (re)design initiatives and ensure alignment across functions

  • Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs and work instructions

  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions and change initiatives

  • Act as the main point of contact for the local IT design function

  • Provide clear updates on progress, risks and dependencies

Requirements

To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum HBO (Bachelor) level education; Master’s degree preferred but not required

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Sales (order fulfilment) and Supply Chain processes, as a Business Process Owner / BPM role (experience within a comparable, supply chain–driven industry is strongly preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of order fulfilment, transport management and warehouse operations

  • Experience with ERP-driven process design and process blueprints

  • Demonstrated change management experience

  • Comfortable operating in international, multi-cultural environments

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Fluent in English; an additional European language is an advantage

  • Confident in driving decisions with senior stakeholders

  • Currently living in the Netherlands, preferrably in Rotterdam area
