Purchasing manager

As a purchasing manager you enjoy the challenge of driving procurement in multi-disciplinary categories by liaising with the local management team and understanding their current and expected demand. You also align procurement strategy with key business partners and ensure it meets Business priorities. Are you up for the challenge?

About the role

Optimising the local supplier base and maintaining strong business relationships with key partners is also a key component as a purchasing manager. Perform at your highest capability level in delivering value-added efficiency and contribute to the organisation through optimisation of procurement processes, negotiations, TCO improvement, etc.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships;
• Understand the objectives and needs of internal and external stakeholders;
• Advise on ways to add tangible value to objectives and contribute to business results;
• Lead cross-functional projects to increase spending effectiveness or generate process improvements;
• Conduct and interpret industry, market and relevant macroeconomic and supplier research;
• Contribute to the definition of regional and global sourcing strategies by providing requested inputs.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or similar;
• At least 5 years of experience as a purchasing manager or in similar position where you focused on people management in a production environment.
