Our client operates on a global scale in the oil and gas industry. For their location in Hoofddorp, we are looking for a Technical Project Buyer focusing on contract management. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing technical products, services, and equipment required for their projects. You will negotiate with suppliers, ensuring that service-related contracts are thorough and legally compliant with company policies and objectives. Your role is crucial in ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services while minimizing costs and risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage supplier relationships: You will maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, ensuring that they meet contract terms, and that products and services are delivered as required.
- Contract negotiation and review: As a negotiator, you will ensure that contracts provide the best value for the company by optimizing pricing, service, and quality. You will also review contracts regularly to ensure they align with the policies and objectives.
- Risk management: You will identify the risks involved in supplier contracts, analyze them, and take proactive measures to minimize them.
- Purchasing management: You will be responsible for issuing purchase orders, tracking delivery, and ensuring that products and services are delivered on time, per agreed specifications.
- Market analysis: You will research new and existing markets, pricing trends, and supplier performance to benchmark company contracts against the prevailing market rates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the supply chain, procurement management, law, or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in contract negotiation and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Previous experience in technical purchasing is ideal.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand and navigate new systems and software.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
