Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Procurement Manager to lead the procurement department. The Procurement Manager will oversee and manage the inventory of medical supplies, equipment, and materials. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments to acquire equipment and supplies that meet the organization's standards and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up, carrying out and enforcing procurement agreements according to the customer's contract terms
- Developing tenders and selecting suppliers, collaborating extensively with technical teams and the project supervisor
- Coordinating prequalification procedures, issuing requests for proposals and managing contractual negotiations concerning prices and agreements
- Sourcing and procuring medical, mechanical, electrical, construction materials and services
- Monitoring and managing the project's procurement budget in accordance with scheduled delivery times
- Administering project purchases, keeping detailed records of all procurement activities
- Assessing suppliers' performance and dealing with disputes and conflicts as necessary
- Collaborating with the Project Manager and technical departments to determine sourcing strategy and to ensure that sourcing goals are aligned with project objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or related field
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in a health care or medical setting
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management
- Knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with purchasing and inventory control software
