Logistics Assistant - Part-time

We are looking for a Logistics Assistant for our client in their Amsterdam office, part of a pioneering company at the forefront of the niobium industry. With global operations and a commitment to innovation in the automotive, aerospace, and electronics sectors, this role is essential in enhancing material capabilities while emphasizing sustainable practices and community support. This role involves a blend of logistics coordination, inventory management, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of ensuring our shipping operations run smoothly, maintaining effective communication across teams, and supporting our logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipping Coordination: Manage and review all shipping documentation for inbound and outbound shipments (via vessel, road, air), ensuring timely and intact material deliveries.
  • Purchase Orders: Generate purchase orders in SAP, coordinate with the warehouse on transport, and dispatch materials based on customer demand.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to meet business needs.
  • Financial Coordination: Work closely with the commercial team and accountants to ensure customer payments are processed accurately.
  • Senior Support: Assist in the absence of senior colleagues and as required with their tasks.
  • Delivery Management: Proactively follow up on delayed deliveries with forwarders and customers.
  • Claims Handling: Address and resolve claims related to packaging, damaged goods, or specifications in consultation with seniors.
  • Sales and Pricing: Verify sales prices in orders, request price adjustments, and manage credit checks to prevent delivery cancellations.
  • Project Collaboration: Participate in testing and implementing new projects.
  • System Management: Open tickets and resolve system issues related to credit, pricing, deliveries, and inbound shipments.


Educational Background:

  • Degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field.

Language Proficiency:

  • English: Fluent (mandatory)
  • Other Languages: Dutch, German, Italian, French (advantageous)

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience in logistics or a related field.
  • Proficient in SAP S3 and Excel.

Offer:

  • A salary of €3,000 to €3,600 gross per month based on 40 hours (depending on experience)

  • A part-time offer for 24 hours a week, with the option to work hybrid
  • A temporary 1 year contract with the possibility of extension
