Indirect Tax Specialist

Are you a detail-oriented Indirect Tax professional looking to take the next step in your career? We’re working with leading multinational organizations in the Netherlands currently strengthening their Indirect Tax capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to expert on Indirect Tax matters, including VAT, customs, and excise duties, with a focus on Dutch and EU compliance.

• Oversee timely and accurate preparation of VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat, and other indirect tax filings.

• Advise on tax implications of cross-border transactions, supply chain structures, and operational changes.

• Monitor changes in EU and local tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.

• Work closely with finance, legal, logistics, and external advisors to ensure tax compliance and identify process improvements.

• Support and lead indirect tax audits and liaise directly with tax authorities when necessary.

Your Profile

• Upwards of 3 years of experience specializing in Indirect Tax, preferably in a multi-national or advisory environment.

• Solid understanding of Dutch and EU VAT frameworks; experience with customs is a strong plus.

• Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Clear and confident communicator in both Dutch and English.

• Degree in Tax, Finance, Law, or a related field; additional tax qualifications (e.g., RB, CTA, LLM) are an advantage.

• Fluent in English (Dutch is a strong plus).
