Indirect Tax Manager

Are you a seasoned Indirect Tax professional ready to step into a strategic leadership role? We’re currently supporting leading multi-national organizations in strengthening their tax teams and are seeking experienced Indirect Tax Managers to help drive tax strategy, compliance, and transformation across international operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Indirect Tax function with responsibility for VAT, customs, and excise duty compliance across Dutch, EU, and international jurisdictions.

• Design and implement robust tax strategies to optimize efficiency across cross-border transactions and complex supply chains.

• Ensure the accurate and timely submission of indirect tax filings (including VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat, etc.).

• Act as a senior point of contact for tax authorities during audits, investigations, and correspondence.

• Provide guidance on tax implications of business changes, including M&A, restructuring, and market expansion.

• Maintain oversight of indirect tax risks and controls in line with evolving legislation.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering collaboration and technical growth.

Your Profile

• Upwards of 7 years of experience in Indirect Tax, ideally gained in an international corporate or advisory environment.

• Strong technical command of Dutch and EU VAT regulations; experience with customs and excise is a plus.

• Proven ability to lead tax projects and manage stakeholder relationships across multiple departments.

• Commercially minded with a strategic outlook and excellent communication skills.

• Fluent in English, profciency in Dutch is a strong bonus.

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CTA, LLM in Tax, RB, or similar) are preferred.
