Direct Tax Manager (6 - 8 PQE)

Are you an experienced Direct Tax professional looking to take on a leadership role in tax management? We are seeking Direct Tax Managers for various clients in the Netherlands to optimize tax strategy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of direct tax, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
• Provide strategic guidance on complex Dutch and international direct tax issues, optimizing tax positions while ensuring full compliance.
• Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns and manage tax audits, acting as the primary contact with tax authorities.
• Advise on tax-efficient structures for cross-border transactions and expansion activities.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and finance teams on tax planning, reporting, and risk management.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on business operations, ensuring ongoing compliance with Dutch and international tax laws.

Qualifications:

• 6 - 8 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE) specializing in direct tax management.
• Extensive knowledge of Dutch corporate tax law and exposure to EU / international tax matters.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior tax professionals.
• Proven ability to manage complex tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• A relevant tax qualification (e.g., RA, CTA, or equivalent) is preferred.
