Indirect Tax Manager

Are you an experienced Indirect Tax professional looking to take on a leadership role in tax management? We are seeking Indirect Direct Tax Managers for various clients in the Netherlands to optimize tax strategy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the company’s Indirect Tax function, with a focus on VAT, customs, and excise duties, ensuring compliance with Dutch, EU, and international regulations.
• Develop and implement indirect tax strategies that optimize the business’s tax position across cross-border transactions and supply chains.
• Oversee the preparation, submission, and review of VAT and other indirect tax filings.
• Act as the main point of contact with local tax authorities for indirect tax audits and inquiries.
• Provide strategic advice on the tax implications of new business activities, acquisitions, and market expansions.
• Ensure the company is fully compliant with the latest indirect tax legislation and identify tax-saving opportunities where applicable.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, driving a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications:

• 6 - 8 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE) in indirect tax, with deep knowledge of VAT and customs regulations.
• Strong expertise in Dutch and EU indirect tax laws, with experience in cross-border trade.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a tax team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both verbal and written.
• Relevant professional qualifications are preferred (e.g., CTA, VAT expert, or equivalent).
