Treasury Manager

On behalf of our client, Fastned, we are recruiting a Treasury Manager to take ownership of treasury activities across a fast-growing, international organisation at the forefront of the energy transition.

Fastned is a certified B Corp with a clear mission: accelerating electric mobility by providing fast, reliable charging powered by 100% renewable energy. With operations across 11 European countries, the company is scaling rapidly in a capital-intensive environment, making treasury a critical function for continued growth.

The Role

As Treasury Manager, you will build and manage the treasury function across Fastned’s European operations. This is a newly created role with broad responsibility, combining strategic direction with hands-on execution. You will act as the central point of contact for all treasury-related topics and work closely with senior stakeholders across finance and the business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

• Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures and controls covering:

  • Cash management and liquidity

  • Bank financing and covenant compliance

  • FX exposure, hedging and execution

  • Interest rate risk and derivatives

  • Subsidiary capitalisation and intercompany funding

  • (Bank) guarantees and related risk management

• Define treasury systems, tools and reporting suitable for a scaling organisation

• Build a multi-year treasury roadmap aligned with the business strategy

• Act as a treasury advisor to internal stakeholders

Operational

• Set up and professionalise treasury processes, including:

  • Cash flow forecasting and daily liquidity management

  • Cash pooling and intercompany flows

  • Bank account structures and mandates

• Manage all bank guarantee requests and monitor guarantee exposure

• Maintain relationships with banks, auditors and external advisors

• Support finance and business teams with ad-hoc treasury matters

• Ensure funds are available where needed across all entities

Candidate Profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics or a related field

• 7–12 years of relevant treasury experience across core treasury disciplines

• Experience building or professionalising a treasury function; scale-up experience is a strong plus

• Hands-on, proactive and comfortable working independently

• Able to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery

• Strong attention to detail and pragmatic mindset

• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch or other European languages are a plus)

• Genuine interest in sustainability and the energy transition
