Meet our executive search team

Our executive search consultants each have ten to twenty years of experience in their field and additionally manage their own team of recruiters.



Joyce Toeset - Legal

Joyce Toeset (1979) started her recruitment career at an executive search firm in The Hague, while studying Law at the University of Leiden. She now has twenty years of recruitment experience under her belt. Within Robert Walters, she built a team that serves both the permanent and the interim legal market in the Netherlands. Over the past five years, she’s made Robert Walters a household name for legal recruitment in the Netherlands.

Joyce has built up a track record in the field of executive search and recruitment at C level, fulfilling assignments for General Counsels, Chief Executive Officers, Executive Board/Supervisory Board and Managing Directors in various industries. Joyce is known for her open communication style and enthusiastic personality.



Rob Steur - Finance

After getting his degree in Business Economics, Rob Steur (1963) started working in accountancy at the Arthur Young firm (now EY). The top-down approach to the audit work shaped his style of working. Later, he worked in recruitment and as a commercial manager at an English stock exchange fund. Subsequently, he fulfilled his entrepreneurial ambitions with his own agency Accredium: a consultancy firm for organizational development, management coaching and interim management. He joined Robert Walters in 2010.

Rob is responsible for senior finance positions in (amongst others) B2B, media and the public sector. He works according to his core values: engaged, tenacious and result oriented.



Nanke van Asten - Finance & HR

Nanke van Asten (1974) started her career in recruitment at an executive search firm in Amsterdam, after finishing her study Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam. She has extensive experience in executive search in finance, HR and general management. At Robert Walters, Nanke is responsible for two teams that specialize in finance recruitment and one team that specializes in interim and permanent HR roles. She has fulfilled assignments for CFOs, Finance Directors, Managing Directors & HR Directors in international PLCs, medium-sized (family) companies and start-ups, in diverse industries like manufacturing, media, FMCG, retail, life sciences, bio tech and private equity.

From successfully placing high calibre candidates to getting new team members up to speed, the recruitment world never ceases to fascinate her.



Rob Vermaak - All disciplines

After completing his studies in Business Economics at Erasmus University, Rob Vermaak (1958) worked for nearly five years in Finance and IT at Akzo Nobel. He then started his career in recruitment at Michael Page, where he worked as Managing Director of the Netherlands for ten years. In addition, Rob was responsible for Germany, Sweden and Belgium for several years. In 2005 he started as Managing Director of the Netherlands at Robert Walters, gaining responsibility for the Benelux region in 2013.

With over 30 years of recruitment and management experience, Rob has been involved in numerous executive search processes.




Pim van der Groen - Finance 

After completing his studies in Business Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Pim van der Groen (1968) worked as a business consultant for a number of years. He then moved to an Austrian executive search organization in Amsterdam. When joining Robert Walters in 2002, he was able to realize his international ambitions and work as a senior consultant in Auckland (New Zealand). His passion for recruitment then brought him to Eindhoven, where was given the chance to open the Robert Walters office in 2006.

His fields of expertise reflect the innovative and entrepreneurial business landscape in the southern parts of the Netherlands. Pim has built up a track record in the field of executive search at various international trade organizations and technology companies.




Annemieke Peskens - Finance

Annemieke Peskens (1977) obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marketing & Communications after completing the Hotel Management school. After graduation, she went through a two-year traineeship at Facilicom, after which she grew to become manager of the Rijnmond region for employment agency Axxicom. For an international recruitment organization, Annemieke then built up the Procurement & Supply Chain division in Rotterdam from scratch. In 2009 she started working at Robert Walters and since 2014 she has been responsible for the Rotterdam office.

Annemieke specializes in the recruitment of senior finance positions. She is passionate about connecting people. Her sincerity, curiosity and drive have led her to fulfil numerous executive search assignments successfully.



Martijn Boet - Finance

After completing a study in International Business in Rotterdam, Martijn Boet (1971) started his career at an international agency for temporary employment. He has now been active in search & selection for over 20 years and has built up a track record in various sectors, recruiting senior finance professionals such as Finance Directors, Finance Managers and Controllers. Between 2004 and 2009, Martijn was closely involved in setting up the Rotterdam office of Robert Walters. After working as an independent consultant and as a Manager at an international recruitment firm, he returned to Robert Walters in November 2014.

An entrepreneurial mindset and a careful way of building out long term relationships with candidates and clients characterize Martijn.
