HGT delivers streamlined terminal operations for all shipping line customers and brings together a portfolio of 21 port terminals and complementary logistics services in 12 countries and on four continents: Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa. Your department/ team

The FP&A, Database & Digitalization Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s financial planning and analysis functions while overseeing the management of financial databases and spearheading digitization initiatives. This role ensures the integrity of financial data, enhances reporting capabilities, and drives the adoption of digital tools to improve financial processes and decision-making.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Lead, develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to collect data and provide insights into financial performance.
  • Monitor KPIs, track financial performance, and generate dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Database Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of financial databases to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Implement data governance frameworks in line with global standards.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and standardized reports for various departments.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Consolidate and clean large datasets for use in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Automate recurring reporting processes using Excel formulas, VBA, and Power Query.
  • Integrate Excel tools with external data sources (e.g., SQL, Power BI, or APIs if applicable).
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility across financial systems and spreadsheets.

Digitization Initiatives:

  • Lead the identification and implementation of digital tools to automate financial processes.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate digital solutions across the organization.
  • Provide training and support to staff on new digital tools and processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in financial digitization.

Your knowledge and experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are preferred.
  • Experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related analytical roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, VBA, macros).
  • Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently or in a team.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading digital transformation initiatives within the finance function.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Experience in a multinational or matrix organization is advantageous.
