Financial Controller

Robert Walters is seeking a talented Financial Controller to join our client's Amsterdam-based office. Our client is a leading bank specialising in leasing services. In this role, your main responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and business analysis. You will support company-wide initiatives by providing detailed financial insights and assisting in the annual planning process, including budgeting and forecasting.

About the job:

Financial Reporting

• Assist in financial reporting and analysis to ensure relevancy, reliability, and timeliness for decision-making.
• Manage the efficient transfer of funds with Treasury departments.
• Collaborate with Shared Services Centres and Holding control for monthly closing.
• Budgeting for all departments, tracking actuals vs. budget, and cost controlling.
• Analyse data to identify trends and anomalies, summarising information for presentations.

Internal Reporting & Projects:

• Assist Customer Service departments with finance-related inquiries.
• Prepare key business and financial information for periodic and ad hoc requests.
• Handle procurement processes between suppliers and departments.
• Track pricing developments of the market and competition.
• Monitor and report company-wide KPIs using dash boarding tools.

Requirements:

• Academic bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, business administration, controlling, accountancy, or a related field.
• Approximately 3-4 years of relevant work experience in a financial or related field, preferably with some experience in accountancy.
• Ready for a second or third step in your career, with the ambition to grow further as a Financial Controller.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with BI software and SAP is a plus.
• Professional proficiency in both Dutch or English, oral and written.

Personality:

• Ability to convey financial insights effectively to various stakeholders.
• Affinity with IT and experience with modern reporting tools.
• Can-do mentality, taking ownership, and able to work both independently and in a team.
